Cycling is something I grew up doing, but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to pursue it in this sort of way. Instead of just getting from point A to B, actively trying to challenge yourself – going that little bit further each time, climbing one more hill, even just trying to pedal a little bit faster. And to do so with a group of friends, some of whom you may have just met, encouraging you and going through the same thing? It just makes it that much better.

The 1333Bikeathon will be an event that not only challenges my own and teammates’ fitness, but will do so in an incredibly important context. Mental health has been a topic of controversy for a long time, impacting people of every possible situation and background. It is not something you can easily push through or tough out. Sometimes all it takes is having the freedom to talk to someone about it, someone who won’t judge you, someone who just wants to help.

And that is exactly what CCCline represents.

I am honoured to be able to contribute to such an amazing organisation, and doing so whilst seeing my homeland from a different perspective. Knowing that with every metre we ride, every mountain we climb, we will be helping to keep the Foundation going and growing.

Please sponsor me so we can reach our fundraising target to keep the phone lines open at CCCline1333 for those going through crisis, or simply want to talk to someone about their problems. THANK YOU!
